Yesterday’s blog was about the idiotic presentations from 45 minutes about this – maybe a few pieces of it begin to trickle down to the department chair level. But still, there’s 90% of this that’s irrelevant. Why does a chem teacher need to know that the federal government requires us to publish campus crime statistics? (No “Breaking Bad” references, please.)
Fortunately there will be four sessions dedicated to actually useful professional development, including two runs of my workshop. I’ll hopefully have some good blog fodder about that later. The first workshop is a panel discussion about brain research and learning.
